Complex Facial Reconstruction after Cancer and Trauma
This is a woman diagnosed with melanoma who underwent multiple Mohs procedures leading to a large wound on her right cheek. She presented for reconstruction. I advanced skin from her lower face and neck in addition to moving tissue from the upper eyelid to the lower eyelid to provide a reconstruction that would help provide coverage. The patient looks amazing! She is just over a year out! Doing cosmetic facelifts helps me achieve beautiful facial reconstructive results.
This man in his 80's had an invasive skin cancer of his left ear. Mohs surgery left him with a large defect including exposed ear cartilage. This was reconstructed with tissue from behind his ear and grafting. He is photographed almost 3 months after Mohs procedure with an excellent result.
